TailGate sues KC brewery for copyright infringement

Nashville-based brewery TailGate Beer has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit regarding its pickup truck logo trademark against Kansas City, Missouri-based Boulevard Brewing Co.

Filed Tuesday, the lawsuit calls for a preliminary injunction of Boulevard’s use of a supposed “infringing mark” with a likeness to TailGate’s trademarked image. If granted, the injunction would bar Boulevard from using the contested imagery over the course of the court’s proceedings, regardless of the eventual verdict.
