Microsoft alleges CHS copyright infringement

Global technology giant Microsoft is alleging that local hospital operator Community Health Systems committed “willful copyright infringement and willful breach of its contractual obligations” during the course of its recent selloff of subsidiaries and affiliates.

In a lawsuit filed in Nashville federal court last month, Microsoft claims that CHS “intentionally facilitated the continued use of Microsoft software” by the divested entities despite having no right to do so.
