M Street, chef settle claims over firing

Chef Jessica Benefield and M Street Entertainment, including owner Chris Hyndman and Virago, have settled Benefield’s federal suit, which initially claimed her dismissal from the restaurant was the result of discrimination and a hostile work environment.

Details of the agreement were not disclosed. Benefield’s attorney, Jonathan Street of The Higgins Firm, confirmed the resolution but declined to comment. M Street and Hyndman were represented by Anne Martin of Bone McAllester Norton.
