Former Auto Masters owner holds off asset freeze for now

The former owner of the Auto Masters chain of used car lots in court has at least temporarily held off a group of creditors’ request that his assets and those of some of his companies and business partners be frozen.

In earlier court filings, Mark Janbakhsh and other defendants said the creditors’ request would be a “financial death sentence” for the associated businesses, which include Plaza Mariachi, the former Kroger that Janbakhsh last year developed into a popular commercial center.
