Democratic operative’s law license suspended

The local attorney who managed Glenn Funk’s successful campaign for Nashville District Attorney and Bill Freeman’s unsuccessful bid for mayor has had his law license temporarily suspended amid allegations that he misappropriated funds from a nonprofit organization.

The Tennessean reports Kevin Teets (pictured), also a former executive with the Tennessee Democratic Party, is accused of taking more than $8,000 from the nonprofit Lace Up With Love in order to “fund his gambling addiction.”
