Neighbors for Safety BMH is claiming that Cheekwood Estate & Gardens officials used “false and materially misleading” statements related to their recent press release issued to garner community support involving an ongoing legal battle.

In a letter to Cheekwood’s board and executive leadership, NFS attorney Chanelle Acheson writes that NFS demands Cheekwood “immediately cease and desist from publishing false and defamatory statements” about Neighbors for Safety BMH (Belle Meade Highlands) and Jackson Moore, who signed an appeal challenging the zoning compliance related to the building permit issued for the construction of a parking facility at the site of the West Nashville cultural attraction. If the appeal is successful, it could have an impact on the progress of the garage project.
