Local health care investment company Jumpstart Nova has announced its goal of raising $100 million for its second fund, the Nashville Business Journal reports. 

The firm, founded by well-known Nashville entrepreneur Marcus Whitney, has raised $15.5 million from 14 investors thus far, according to a Security and Exchange Commission filing. He expects to invest in 18 companies focusing on health IR, consumer health and wellness and Medicaid services, among other sectors.
