Change buys medical imaging venture

Change Healthcare has acquired a San Diego company that markets a set of technology tools to manage medical images.

Terms of Nashville-based Change’s deal for Nucleus.io aren’t being disclosed. The purchase fleshes out the offerings under Change’s software and analytics unit, which accounted for more than half of the company’s $694 million in second-quarter revenues and more than 70 percent of its adjusted EBITDA. Nucleus.io has developed a cloud-native imaging platform that includes viewing, sharing and other workflow components and works with more than 7,500 organizations.
