Veteran political scientist Sekou Franklin has been named executive director of the John Lewis Center for Social Justice at Fisk University.

Fisk announced in a news release that Franklin will lead the center, which was established in 2019 to advance social justice initiatives. In the role, he will further policy research, develop student leaders, promote campus social justice programs and community partnerships.
