Studio CEO: ‘Eerie how close we are to our forecasts’

Aaron Dorn

Simply put, the plan is working.

Studio Bank, which opened its doors a little more than a year ago, finished the first half with about $115 million in loans and $123 million in deposits. Those numbers have since then risen to nearly $130 million and more than $150 million, respectively. That growth is in the ballpark of the starts other Middle Tennessee banks put up since Pinnacle Financial Partners opened its doors in early 2000. Some lenders — notably CapStar Bank, which raised $88 million versus Studio’s $46 million — grew more quickly early on to deploy their capital while others took a more measured approach.
