Vanderbilt University is providing grant funding to the newly formed Greater Nashville Venture Capital Association to help support its initial operations.

While Vanderbilt has formed the organization and plans to give it some startup funds, the school is seeking volunteers to lead going forward at a kickoff event on Nov. 13 at the university's ​​Owen Graduate School of Management. It is unclear how significant Vanderbilt’s financial contribution to the initiative is.
