Back from D.C., Smith launches Russell Street Ventures

A month after his exit as director of the CMS Innovation Center, local entrepreneur Brad Smith is launching Russell Street Ventures, a firm that will develop and scale health care companies aimed at serving vulnerable populations. 

Russel Street Ventures will look to launch two to three companies over the next year in sectors where the team can boost care quality while lowering costs, including the senior population, individuals with disabilities, rural primary care and rare pediatric diseases. Each company will be capitalized individually based on its specific needs and circumstances, Smith, who will serve as CEO, told the Post.
