Work continues on Village townhome project

  Progress continues at a Hillsboro Village-area site on which a 20-condominium development is underway. A permit, valued at about $2.5 million, has been issued to allow for shell construction on the property at 1808 Wedgwood Ave. Last June, the then-three-parcel site sold for a collective $3.1 million to a company with a North Dakota connection. Three free-standing residences sat on the site at the time.

The owner is an LLC affiliated with Fargo-based Gremada Industries, which has enlisted Nashville-based Split Rock Development to oversee the effort. Richland Building Partners (also locally based) is constructing the townhomes as general contractor, according to the permit. In addition, Berry Hill-based Dewey Engineering is involved in the effort.
