Storage building planned for Sylvan Park

A Sylvan Park commercial property owned by a family for nearly 53 years is being eyed for a storage building with a retail space.

The West Nashville property is located at 410 51st Ave. N. and was last home to used vehicle business Jacobs Auto Sales. Jeff Jacobs owned that since-closed business and also owns the property, with his family having acquired the 0.61-acre site in two transactions (one in 1973 and the other in 1986). Metro records note the Jacobs family paid $73,000 collectively for the two-parcel site (the other property offers an address of 5007 Alabama Ave.).
