Mayor's delegation off to China

A trade mission meant to build commercial ties between Nashville and the People's Republic of China gets underway today as a 35-member delegation, organized by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and led by Mayor Bill Purcell, departs for Beijing.

A copy of the itinerary and attendee list obtained by NashvillePost.com highlights the industry sectors and individual companies most likely to benefit from enhanced interaction with the booming Chinese economy. Manufacturers such as Gibson Guitar Corp., which has factory operations in China, are naturally represented, as are other possible importers of goods from China like Tractor Supply Co. and Louisiana-Pacific Corp.
