Details emerge for planned Midtown project

Details are emerging of a major mixed-use project being eyed for a Midtown site located one block west of Broadwest within the West End corridor.

To be called Avalon Midtown and to sit on a five parcel site with a main address of 1719 Hayes St., the project will include one tower to rise 28 stories and house a 310-unit hotel, according to a document recently submitted to the Metro Planning Department. A seemingly separate building will offer six floors and 90,000 square feet of office space.
