132 Second Ave. N. is seen with the blue sign

A downtown building located near the bustling intersection of Second Avenue and Broadway has sold for $8.5 million, with the seller known for his Johnny Cash Museum and Sinatra Bar & Lounge.

The new owner of the property, located within downtown's The District at 132 Second Ave. N., is an LLC that includes Ilya Toshinsky — a locally based studio musician who has recorded with Keith Urban, The Judds, Blake Shelton, George Strait and Thomas Rhett. Born in Obninsk and a part owner of the Broadway building housing Ernest Tubb Record Shop (read here), Russia, Toshinsky is proficient on both guitar and banjo and is known for his bluegrass work.
