Nashville-based retail company Neighborhood Intelligence Inc. has announced it will not merge with Fathom Holdings Inc. of Cary, North Carolina, citing less-than-ideal timing for the now-scrapped transaction.

The announcement comes as Neighborhood Intelligence Chief Financial Officer Brian LaRose has resigned from his position, effective Monday. Paul Kosturos, a managing director with Alvarez & Marsal, has been appointed interim chief financial officer.
