Amentum recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its Oak Ridge office. In attendance, among others, were Amentum Holdings Inc. CEO John Heller; Mark Whitney, president of Amentum’s energy and environment division; and U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-Oak Ridge).

Oak Ridge has gained yet another hub for nuclear energy — this time via an international company that undertakes major contracts with the U.S. government.

Chantilly, Virginia-based engineering and technology giant Amentum Holdings Inc. opened its global nuclear headquarters in the East Tennessee city on Oct. 8. The facility employs more than 150 individuals focusing on engineering and technology matters related to nuclear energy. This furthers Amentum’s presence in East Tennessee, where the company serves as lead partner in United Cleanup Oak Ridge, an environmental management contractor conducting business with the U.S. Department of Energy.
