Acadia president exits

Brent Turner

Three months after Acadia Healthcare directors fired Chairman and CEO Joey Jacobs, the company’s president — and one of Jacobs’ top lieutenants — has walked from his job.

Brent Turner left Franklin-based Acadia “by mutual agreement” last Tuesday, wrapping up more than eight years with the company he helped grow from six treatments to more than 580. In a filing with regulators, the company says Turner’s departure is not due to disagreements about the company’s operations, procedures or policies and that it will pay the 53-year-old $1 million.
