Nashville-based behavioral health care company Centerstone has named Maria Wolfe as director of advancement.
According to a release, Wolfe (pictured) will lead the annual and major giving efforts in Centerstone’s Tennessee region as well as its U.S. wide military services.
Wolfe has about 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and spent 10 years leading marketing, branding and membership efforts for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee. More recently she led marketing and fundraising initiatives with the Jewish Community Association of Greater Phoenix, the YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee, The Land Trust for Tennessee and TechBridge Inc.
“Maria’s depth of experience with a wide range of nonprofits is an excellent match for our growing organization, and we are all excited to have her on our leadership team,” Dr. Bob Vero, Centerstone’s regional chief executive officer in Tennessee, said in the release.
Quartz Hill Records adds five
Nashville-based Quartz Hill Records has announced its first round of hires, reuniting many former staffers with Music Row label head Benny Brown at his newly formed joint partnership with global music distribution company The Orchard, alongside industry stalwart Paul Brown and award-winning songwriter Jason Sellers.
Quartz Hill Records radio promotion team hires include the following, according to a release:
● April Rider, VP of promotions and marketing. Rider previously served as the general manager of operations for Brown’s Stoney Creek Records. Rider also previously served as the VP of promotion for Curb Records and spent six years as a managing partner at RPM Entertainment.
● Matt Galvin, national director of promotions and marketing. Galvin most recently spent 15 years as the director of RCA promotion and marketing for Sony Music Nashville. Galvin began his career in radio promotion with Sony Music Entertainment’s Arista Records.
● Clay Henderson, national director syndication and strategic marketing - regional promotion and marketing. Henderson is a 22-year veteran of the country music industry, having previously served as the director of syndication for Brown’s BBR Music Group as well as director of Southeast promotion for Broken Bow Records. His previous stops also include 1608, Southern Ground Artists and as the national director of strategic marketing for Reviver Records.
● Natalie Kilgore, VP of publicity and integrated marketing. Kilgore, who will also oversee creative services for the label, previously served as the VP of publicity for Brown’s BBR Music Group. Kilgore’s more than 20 years of industry experience also includes stints as the head of publicity for Big Machine Label Group, the communications director for the Nashville Songwriters Association International and as the owner of boutique firm Dashboard Media. She most recently served as the head of public relations for The Mechanical Licensing Collective.
● Josh Brown, coordinator of A&R creative and A&R administration. Brown worked his way up from the front desk position at BBR Music Group to the role of A&R assistant. He most recently served as the A&R administration coordinator for BMG North America.
“I couldn’t be more pleased to have so many of our former label family on board as we launch Quartz Hill Records,” Brown said in the release. “April, Clay, Natalie and Josh were instrumental in many of our key successes at BBR Music Group and Matt’s great success at RCA speaks for itself. I’m truly excited to announce them as part of our new team and to launch our first Quartz Hill Records artist in the coming weeks.”

VUSM's Gould named senior associate dean
Dr. Kathleen Gould has been named Vanderbilt University School of Medicine senior associate dean for biomedical research, education and career development.
The Louise B. McGavock Professor of Cell and Developmental Biology in the School of Medicine Basic Sciences, Gould joined the Vanderbilt faculty as an assistant professor after she obtained her Ph.D. from the University of California at San Diego and completed postdoctoral studies as a Jane Coffin Childs Fellow at Oxford University under Sir Paul Nurse.

Zeitlin Sotheby’s adds Phillips
Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty has added Jennifer "Jennie" Phillips as an agent.
Phillips is a graduate of the University of Memphis who has lived in Nashville since 2008.
