Nashville-based Clearbrook Hospitality has named Ric Olsen president.
The position is new to the company.
According to a release, Olsen will oversee operations, marketing, sales and logistics, and will be responsible for the company’s strategic leadership and long-term fiscal goals. He has been with Clearbrook Hospitality since 2018, when he started as senior project manager, later being promoted to director of operations.
Previously, Olsen worked for Gibson Brands as head of brand protection, intellectual property enforcement and investigations. He also served as director of loss prevention and security for Gibson and was with the company for 22 years.
Notably, Olsen was the original guitarist for the 1980s band Berlin.
“[Olsen] brings a wealth of disciplines to the company in this position,” Mike Shmerling, Clearbrook Holdings chairman and CEO, said in the release. “And through his leadership, we are looking forward to incredible growth across the hospitality division.”
Clearbrook Hospitality, which consists of multiple ventures including entertainment venues, transportation services and consumer experience events, is a subsidiary of Clearbrook Holdings. In 2017, XMi holdings was rebranded as Clearbrook Holdings (read more here).
