A regional trust company under the umbrella of an Atlanta firm has opened an office in Nashville and recruited a managing director from Cumberland Trust to lead it.
Advocacy Trust, which also has offices in Chattanooga and Louisville, has hired Jaclyn Berry to be its regional trust director. Berry has more than 15 years of experience in the trusts and estate planning sector and had been focused on business development at Cumberland Trust since September 2019.
Before that, Berry was a senior vice president and senior manager at the local firm. She specializes in planning for and administering special needs trusts and special purpose trusts and also has experience in estate planning and legal documents review as well as real estate closings.
Advocacy Trust is home to 20 people. The firm is part of The Forge Companies group, which is headquartered in Atlanta and also includes financial/legal planning and wealth management ventures.
