Panattoni Development has released images for the six-story mixed-use building it is planning for the Music Row site home to, among others, Bobby's Idle Hour bar.
According to marketing materials, a mid-2020 completion is eyed for the timber-constructed building — which would rank among the city’s more unusual structures if standing today. The building would have an address of 1030 16th Ave. S. and would sit on a footprint that includes multiple small-scale structures.
The materials show the building spanning 130,000 square feet of office and ground-level retail space. The office space is expected to command per-foot prices in the low $40s.
Panattoni has enlisted Colliers International | Nashville to handle marketing of the office and retail space.
Panattoni officials could not be reached for comment.
Some Music Row business owners, tenants and residents have expressed concerns about losing buildings they feel is a part of the district’s history.
Existing buildings to be felled for the project include those home to Warner/Chappell Music's publishing company and the former offices of the Ed Bruce agency and Creative Soul Music Academy.
