'Cutting-edge' hotel eyed for Brentwood site

Nashville-based Land Development.com is eyeing a Brentwood-area site for a six-story 100-room hotel with a "cutting-edge" design.

The company, owned by Ardavan Afrakhteh, has enlisted Dale & Associates, also of Nashville, to handle the land planning and engineering efforts. The team will request that the Metro Planning Commission rezone two parcels, with addresses of 5644 and 5648 Franklin Pike Circle (located north of Old Hickory Boulevard; see here courtesy of Google Maps), to specific plan to accommodate the project. The site sits within Davidson County.

Brentwood-based Malakouti Architects has given the building a "cutting-edge modern look," Afrakhteh said.

"This is going to be a very distinctive hotel product for Brentwood," Afrakhteh said.

Brentwood-based Malakouti Architects has designed the structure and given it a very cutting-edge modern look, Afrakhteh said.

An operator has yet to be announced.

Of note, Afrakhteh owns (and plans a mixed-use project on) the Midtown property home to Noshville, for which owner Tom Loventhal announced today a Dec. 27 closing. (Read here.)
