Former U.S. Congressman Bob Clement has established a new public affairs firm which includes lobbying in Washington. He is joined by former WSMV-TV reporter Terri Dorsey, who will head communications for the firm, which is called Clement & Associates.
According to a press release issued by Dorsey, "Clement & Associates is affiliated with a wide-ranging roster of consultants including bipartisan political leaders, multi-level government contacts, and business associates. Current clients include the Association of American Railroads, an investment firm, environmental companies, and an East Tennessee real estate venture."
Clement, who represented Nashville in the U.S. Congress from 1988 until 2003, most recently was an unsuccessful candidate for mayor, losing in a run-off to current Mayor Karl Dean. He has also run for governor and the U.S. Senate in the past, and he served on the now-abolished Tennessee Public Service Commission and as president of what is now Cumberland University.
