Rosario's, the popular Edgehill Village high-end Mexican eatery that has struggled in the past, has closed, NashvillePost.com has learned.
According to Edgehill Village developer Steve Asbury, the restaurant's owners informed the staff yesterday that the establishment was closing down.
Due to economic troubles, the restaurant filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in January, but the owners were committed to keeping the operation going. However, the recession proved too much to overcome. According to Asbury, a trustee will be appointed in the next day or two.
In its January filing, the restaurant listed assets of $70,000 and $570,000 in liabilities. Its largest creditors include U.S. Bank and the Murphy Produce Co.
