ASA's buying streak continues

Ambulatory Service holding company adds three more dialysis clinics to its stable

Continuing its buying ways, Ambulatory Services of America has formed yet another joint venture to acquire dialysis clinics in New Mexico.

Recently formed Red Rocks Dialysis, a venture between company subsidiary Innovative Dialysis Systems and a pair of area physicians, has purchased three facilities from Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services. The acquisition brings ASA’s tally of dialysis clinics to 47.

Making the integration easier is that fact that Red Rocks has been managing the facilities’ programs since September of 2008.

While many companies have been battening down the hatches and in many cases divesting certain assets, ASA has been on an extensive acquisitive streak since May of last year, when New York-based Lindsey Goldberg pumped $75 million into the company.

In addition to its dialysis business, the company has also bought 17 radiation oncology centers since its formation in 2006.
