Well-known media personality Teddy Bart was arrested earlier this week by the Metro Police Department in a prostitution investigation. Bart, along with eight other men, allegedly responded to an Internet advertisement by Metro Police.

When called for comment on the matter, police department spokespeople directed NashvillePost.com to their patronizing prostitution Web site.

The statement on the site states, "Specialized Investigations Division detectives charged nine persons with patronizing prostitution in regard to three Internet-related stings held on February 26, March 3, and March 4. The nine men came to area hotels in response to an Internet advertisement featuring a female police operative. They were issued misdemeanor citations after allegedly agreeing to pay the operative for sexual activity."

Bart was a longtime staple on Nashville television, hosting the popular "Noon Show" on WSMV Channel 4. After that, he hosted, among other things, a radio talk show that focused on politics called "Teddy Bart's Roundtable" with Karlen Evins.

NashvillePost.com was unable to reach Bart for comment. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
