Solar supplier purchases Portland warehouse

Company that moved HQ from Alabama last year spends more than $6M

Solar panel parts supplier Shoals Technologies Group recently purchased a Portland distribution center to service the company's new headquarters in Gallatin.

The company bought the 103,200-square-foot building on 25 acres in the Westgate Business Park for $6.6 million from Distribution Plus LLC. The warehouse features 15 loading docks.

The acquisition fortifies Shoals' presence in the Middle Tennessee market. Last May, the company announced it would move its headquarters from Alabama to Gallatin. The company announced it would build a $10.5 million, 100,000-square-foot manufacturing building at the Gallatin Industrial Center, which will reportedly employ 300 individuals over the next three years.

For the Portland purchase, both parties were represented by Jeb Atkinson and Randy Wolcott of ProVenture Commercial Real Estate.
