
P.B. "Kaj" Shah has been promoted to president of Ingram Barge Co., the water transportation subsidiary of Ingram Industries.
Previously the company's senior vice president of customer service, Shah assumes one of the titles held by Craig Philip, who remains CEO of Ingram Barge.
“I have been blessed to share the leadership of our Company with an experienced and extraordinary team,” said Philip, who had been president of the company since 1994. “Kaj will do an excellent job in his new position... I know he is looking forward to continuing the efforts and progress we have made.”
Shah has been an Ingram exec since 1989 and has spent time in several companies under the Ingram umbrella. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology and master’s degrees from the State University of New York and Vanderbilt University.
Founded in 1946, Ingram Barge moves dry and liquid commodities along the Mississippi River System and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. It employs more than 2,000 people.
