Vicki Estrin, formerly the assistant director and program manager for the regional informatics activities at Vanderbilt Center for Better Health, will join the leadership team at C3 Consulting as health care managing consultant on Nov. 30.
Estrin, who has helped lead the development of health information exchanges at state, regional and local levels, was a leader for the MidSouth eHealth Privacy Collaborative, which is active in the Memphis area. She spent more than five years at Vanderbilt.
In her role at Brentwood-based C3, she will help the firm's health care clients plan and execute initiatives such as the development of HIEs, which promote the smooth transfer of health data between providers, payers and others in the health care market.
A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, Estrin has consulted more than 200 hospital boards of trustees, senior management teams, medical staffs and department directors in planning and performance improvement activities. Her previous work experience includes leadership roles with Healthcare Management Directions and Quorum Health Resources.
