Adams and Reese has extended its lease for two floors of the Fifth Third Center at Fifth and Church streets downtown. The law firm also will renovate the 27th and 28th floors of the 490,000-square-foot building, adding two outdoor terraces on the lower of the two stories.

"Downtown Nashville is where we want our firm to have a presence and where our clients want us to be," said Brad Lampley, partner in charge of Adams and Reese's local office. "We are pleased to make the commitment to downtown Nashville, the city's continued economic development, and its future as a business center."

Adams and Reese is a regional firm that acquired Stokes Bartholomew Evans & Petree in 2005. It also runs nine other offices around the Southeast and in Washington, D.C.

Amstar acquired the Fifth Third Center for $62 million in late 2006 and has since invested in a series of upgrades. While it has had to say goodbye to high-profile tenants such as SunTrust Bank and Stites & Harbison, it also has landed some new tenants.

David McRae, David Koziak and Buck Forcum with Newmark Knight Frank represented Adams and Reese in the deal. Buck Blair, Drew Robinson and Terry W. Smith of Nashville Commercial worked for Amstar.
