URS Corp. (Ticker: URS) has more than 45,000 employees in 30 countries, providing the gamut of engineering, construction and technical services for public agencies and private companies. Through the first nine months of this year, the company earned $270 million on sales of $7.1 billion. The U.S. Army alone has accounted for 17 percent of sales year to date.
Frist, a partner at Nashville-based private investment firm Cressey & Co., also serves on the boards of multiple organizations, including Aegis Sciences Corp., the Center for Strategic and International Studies, The Millennium Challenge Corp., the Kaiser Family Foundation, the Harvard Medical School Board of Fellows and the Clinton Global Initiative’s Global Health Working Group.
He served as a U.S. Senator for Tennessee from 1995 to 2007 and majority leader of the legislative body from 2002 to 2007.
