A Dallas company has acquired Healthcare Performance Partners, the Gallatin-based consulting shop focused on bringing lean and six sigma processes to health care providers.
With its acquisition, Broadlane will bring on a staff of about 20 that will remain based in Middle Tennessee. HPP founder Charles Hagood also will keep his position as president and look to cross-sell his services – which were developed in the manufacturing sector – to Broadlane's base of about 1,000 customers.
“Healthcare providers are only now beginning to more broadly implement these approaches to remove waste and cost from their systems while improving quality of care,” said Broadlane COO Tom Sherry in a statement. “Many HPP consulting projects improve satisfaction of patients and caregivers alike, and the improvements impact top- and bottom-line financial results.”
Broadlane also has offices in Cincinnati, Detroit, Houston, New York City and Oakland. The firm provides a range of cost-management services for hospitals, surgery centers and physician practices.
