Executive shuffle at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance

CEO, CFO both out at large doctor group

11-13-2009 12:38 PM — There’s change afoot in the executive ranks of the Middle Tennessee's largest orthopedic doctor group.

Ted MacDonald, CEO, and Karen Fultz, CFO of the Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance recently left the group, apparently within weeks of one another, MacDonald’s executive assistant confirmed.

Already filling MacDonald’s role is Steve Wade, who served as executive director of the TOA from 2003 until early 2008, when he left to become president of revenue cycle management firm EnableComp.

Thus far, Fultz’s position appears unfilled – active ads for the position are posted on various online job boards, including this one.

Dave Alexander, president of the board for TOA, did not return messages left with his assistant for comment on the circumstances of the departures. In an e-mail to NashvillePost.com, MacDonald declined to comment.

TOA has about 50 physicians and 16 locations from Cookeville to Waverly and Manchester to Powderly, Ky.
