A handful of local law firms have published the names of their lawyers listed in the 2009 version of Super Lawyers, a who’s who compiled by Key Professional Media.

The team at Key built the list using both surveys and peer reviews. This year’s Mid-South Super Lawyers is based on the surveys of more than 13,000 attorneys who have been in practice for five years or more. Super Lawyers identifies the top 5 percent of attorneys in a state.

Below, listed by firm, are the ranked attorneys. We’ve called this listing Vol. I because we’re expecting a few more firms to come forward with their honored attorneys in the coming days. We’ll publish their names then.
