Intellectual property law firm Waddey & Patterson has added Rebecca McClintock Barnett to its ranks.
Barnett will be an associate and a member of the Music Row-based firm’s patent prosecution team. Previously, she was an associate at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP in Chicago.
“Rebecca has patent law experience as well as hands-on experience in the field of biomedical engineering, a combination that will help us serve our technology and health sciences clients,” said Jack Waddey, co-founder of the firm that now houses 12 attorneys.
Barnett earned her law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2008. She is a 2005 graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering, where she focused on biomedical work. In the summers 2005 and 2006, she worked in the law office of The Honorable Penny Harrington in Nashville.
