Shiny new johns at Cummins Station, renovations at Children's, MDHA rehabbing West End site, and more...

The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency has taken out permits for the interior renovations of its 295-unit Parthenon Towers development near Centennial Park. Hardaway Construction has been hired for the work. The project is expected to cost $6.5 million.

Downtown’s Cummins Station will soon see all of its bathrooms renovated, a project that is expected to cost $1 million. National Building Corp. has been contracted for the work.

Ole South Properties is moving forward on the next stage of its Barnes Crossing development off Nolensville Road. Permits were pulled recently for the construction of seven buildings, all between 1,100 and 1,350 square feet. The total cost of this round of construction is $874,095. An additional $271,809 has been permitted for landscaping.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center will soon put $380,000 into a round of renovations of the seventh floor of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. Balfour Beatty Construction is building out the 20,000-square-foot space.

Texas transplant Five Star Custom Foods is planning to invest $350,000 into the renovations of a 2,000-square-foot portion of its new office building at 2621 Eugenia Ave. T.W. Frierson Contractor has been contracted for the work.

A permit was pulled last week for the rehab of a 6,782-square-foot space on the 18th floor of the Bank of America Plaza. Law firm North Pursell Ramos & Jameson has contracted with Tenant Building Group to renovate its offices. The job is worth $225,000.

TBG also will conduct a round of renovations on the first floor of the Centennial Medical Plaza. The 5,603-square-foot space is for the hospital's HR office. The work is valued at $115,000.

A space in the B1 terminal of the Nashville International Airport will soon be renovated to make room for a Starbucks location. Wathco Inc. has been contracted for the work, which is valued at $118,306.

Bacon Construction has been hired to rehab a 1,500-square-foot space in the Mall at Green Hills. The space is for True Religion Brand Jeans. The work is expected to cost $105,000.
