Vantage Pointe Homes will soon begin building an apartment complex at 2921 Old Franklin Road in Antioch. The development will comprise 13 buildings with 24 units each and has a total value of $33.5 million. Summit Contracting Group has been hired for the work.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center has taken out permits for the construction of a $23 million parking garage on Children's Way. R.C. Mathews has been contracted for the job. The medical center also has amended a 2006 permit worth $31 million at the time to build a blood bank at The Vanderbilt Clinic. Balfour Beatty Construction will handle that work.

Forest Hills Baptist Church will soon put $3.3 million into the construction of a 21,564-square-foot youth building. R.C. Mathews Contractor LLC has been contracted for the work on the building, which will be located at 2105 Old Hickory Blvd.

D.F. Chase Inc. has been contracted to build the new showroom for Beaman Toyota-Scion, located downtown. The 20,561-square-foot structure is expected to cost $3.3 million.

The Art Institute of Tennessee will rehab a 2,445-square-foot space at 100 Centerview Drive off Stewarts Ferry Pike. The space is will be used for an accessory kitchen area. P.W. Campbell Contracting has been contracted for the work, which is expected to cost $664,951.

CT Resources Medical Equipment, located at 400 Brick Church Park Drive, is planning to renovate 36,000 square feet of its 77,000-square-foot location. T.W. Frierson Contractors has been hired for the work, which is valued at $610,000.

DWC Construction has been hired to rehab the 13th through 16th floors in Parkway Towers at 404 James Robertson Parkway. The work is to rehab the offices of the state's Board of Probation and Paroles. The work is valued at $265,000.

Escape Day Spa is renovating its home in The Spaces shopping center at 6000 Highway 100 in Belle Meade. W.T. DuBois has been contracted for the 4,500-square-foot renovation job. The work is valued at $218,000.

The former Nissan of Rivergate lot at 1540 Gallatin Pike will soon be renovated for DriveTime Car Sales. Almost a third of the 21,000-square-foot dealership will be rehabbed for the new tenant. Solomon Builders has been contracted for the work, which is valued at $180,000.

Southland Constructors has been contracted to add an elevator shaft to an existing medical office building, located at 1817 Patterson St., near Baptist Hospital. The construction is expected to cost $155,000.
