Interactive marketing and communications agency Anode Inc. plans to move from its digs at 105 Broadway to the heart of East Nashville.
Anode President Mark Magnuson said his 23-person company, which has been located downtown for 18 years, will move into the former DSS ProDiesel building at 926 Main St. when renovations are complete at the start of 2010.
“An opportunity came up for us to purchase a building, so we saw an opportunity to be part of the redevelopment of Main Street,” he said. The building purchase closed in September – Metro records list the deal price at $485,000 – and renovations of the industrial space are underway.
“We’re hoping (our move) will spur other businesses to come in that are more marketing- or art-driven,” Magnuson said.
