
Brentwood-based MyOfficeProducts Inc. announced today that it has bought Royal Office Products, an office supply dealer in Chicago. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The announcement said the combined 2008 revenue of two companies was more than $135 million. It stated that the merged operation, which will carry the MyOfficeProducts name, will be the second-largest independent office supply dealer in the U.S.
Royal has been in business since 1955. With more than 100 employees, it serves 12 markets in nine states. MyOfficeProducts will now serve a total of 44 markets across 16 states, including the West, the Southeast, the Mid-Atlantic and Chicago area.

MyOfficeProducts CEO Bob Rolfe told NashvillePost.com this evening that the company obtained financing for the transaction from Nashville's Pinnacle Bank.
