Baptist names '09 medical staff officers, department chiefs

Baptist Hospital today announced its medical staff officers and department chiefs for the coming year.

Serving as chief of staff will be Webb Earthman, who is joined by vice chief of staff Brian Wilcox, president Sally Killian and secretary/treasurer Heather Andrews. All but Andrews held their posts in ’08 as well. Last year, Patricia Arns served in Andrews’ role.

The hospital's 2009 department chiefs are as follows:

• Michael Sutter, chief of anesthesiology
• Robert Hutton, chief of emergency medicine
• Tamela Booker, chief of family practice
• William Pettus, chief of internal medicine
• Gregory Weaver, chief of medical imaging
• Geoffrey Smallwood, chief of obstetrics and gynecology
• Trent Wallace, chief of ophthalmology
• Wills Oglesby, chief of orthopedics
• David Cross, chief of otolaryngology
• Barrett Brantley, chief of pathology
• Lawrence Klinsky, chief of pediatrics
• Joseph DeLozier, chief of plastic surgery
• George Lynch Jr., chief of surgery
• Raoul Concepcion, chief of urology
