Internet service provider and data center operator Nexus Group has hired Joy Mangrum to be director of operations.
Nexus CEO Jerry Dunlap said the move "completes our management team for the next phase of Nexus Group expansion." The company last year acquired a Knoxville ISP and absorbed IT security venture eNtegrity Solutions.
Mangrum previously spent seven years as director of information technology at American Color Graphics in Brentwood. She also has worked at LoJac Enterprises, Lucent Technologies and other IT ventures.
Nexus, which last year changed its name from ISDN-Net, also announced this morning that it has relocated its broadband facility and several of its divisions to a new 19,000-square-foot secure data center at an undisclosed site in Davidson County. Previously, those operations had been housed at separate sites on West End Avenue.
Fourteen-year-old Nexus has about 10,000 clients across Tennessee and annual revenues of about $5 million.
