In an effort to reorganize and pay off mounting debts, Edgehill Village's Rosario's Mexican Restaurant has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Facing the sluggish local restaurant scene that recently claimed Bistro 215 in Green Hills, owners Daniel Barragan and Robert Shelton are hoping the move will allow the restaurant to stay in business.
“They say they are not going to close,” Edgehill Village developer Steve Asbury told NashvillePost.com. “We're going to do everything that we can do as their landlord to help them stay in business and reorganize. And if enthusiasm and dedication help, they're on their way.”
In its Chapter 11 filing, Rosario's owners list about $70,000 in assets and $570,000 in liabilities. Its largest creditors include U.S. Bank and the Murphy Produce Co.
