Community Health Systems Division President Gary Newsome on Monday exercised and then sold most of 200,000 options, netting almost $1 million. Shares of CHS (Ticker: CYH) are up about 7 percent this year.

Franklin venture capital firm Clayton Associates has invested in a local video production venture co-founded by the guys who started Envoy, the precursor to WebMD.

Can-Do National Tape, a Nashville supplier of tape that specializes in the auto sector, has been sold to an Atlanta investment firm and its managers. Brentwood Capital handled the deal.

Shares of Psych Solutions (Ticker: PSYS) had a good day yesterday after a Citi analyst said the recent media scrutiny about the company's quality of care is unwarranted.
