Graymont Group, the company behind the West End Flats and Graymont Park among others, has pulled an $8.1 million permit to build a four-story, 36,000-square-foot office condo project on 30th Avenue North, just west of Centennial Park. Graymont chief John Hays had initially planned a seven-story retail/residential project for the site.

Doster Construction has pulled the first permit for Bristol Development Group’s 1700 Midtown apartments project. The contractor has pulled a $6.0 million permit to build the 217-space parking garage for the 170-unit development at 17th Avenue and State Street.

Turner Universal Construction has pulled a $1.6 million permit to add a 700-square-foot addition to the Green Hills YMCA. The exercise facility also is adding parking on the site as part of a larger project.

The Parent Co. will rehab the main entrance and plaza areas of the American Center complex on West End. The company has pulled a $700,000 permit for the job.

Clothing retailer American Eagle will move into renovated space at Opry Mills once Omni Construction wraps up its work. Omni has pulled a $268,000 permit for the work. Meanwhile, over at 100 Oaks Mall, J.E. Crain & Son has pulled a permit to finish out space in the new iteration of that center for a Reebok store. Its job is valued at $280,000.

Harding Academy is building a field house and bleacher building on its campus. Phipps Construction has pulled a permit worth almost $589,000 for the project.

Retail Builders has snagged the construction job for Otter’s Chicken Tenders’ East Nashville location. The local company’s third restaurant will open in the 5th & Main development this fall. Retail Builders’ permit is worth $308,000.

For everyone hoping PSC Metals will soon vacate its prime riverfront site downtown: Don’t count on it any time soon. The Ohio-based company is adding a conveyor belt building to the property. Denham-Blythe has pulled a $310,000 permit for the job.

Dunkin Donuts continues building its local store network. W.T. DuBois Construction has pulled a permit to rehab space for the company at 1133 Murfreesboro Pike near Thompson Lane. Separately, Retail Builders is finishing out space at Briley Parkway west of the airport. The jobs are $240,000 and almost $98,000, respectively.

The library at Nashville State Community College is getting a new roof. Porter Roofing Contractors has pulled a $296,000 permit for the job.

Tennessee Pediatrics will move into new space at 5505 Edmondson Pike, near Old Hickory Boulevard. Robert S. Biscan has pulled a $214,000 permit to rehab a first-floor suite of the building for the doctor group.

T.W. Frierson Contractor will finish out almost 27,000 square feet of warehouse space as well as a 1,000-square-foot office area for Curtis Steel at 860 Visco Drive near downtown. The job is worth $150,000.

The Tennessee Bar Association is expanding its downtown digs. Commercial Industrial Construction has pulled a permit valued at about $44,000 to rehab another suite of 221 Fourth Ave. N.
