Disease management firm Healthways has renewed its contract with Premera Blue Cross, an insurance plan with affiliates in Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Alaska.
The three-year extension for Healthways' Care Support product starts Jan. 1. Premera and its affiliates have 1.6 million members across its footprint and pulled in about $3 billion in revenue in 2006. The holding company began working with Healthways in late 2005.
Shares of Frankin-based Healthways (Ticker: HWAY) ended Wednesday trading at $26.80, down 0.4 percent on the day. Year to date, they're down more than 50 percent.
