HCA Inc. will rehab its intensive-care department at Skyline Medical Center. Batten & Shaw Inc. is handling the work on the second and fifth floors of the hospital. The project is worth almost $1.8 million.

Venture Construction Co. is building a McDonald’s restaurant on Highway 70 in Bellevue. Work on the 4,569-square-foot building is valued at $510,000.

Retail Builders Inc. will build the shell for some retail and restaurant space at 841 Briley Parkway, just south of Interstate 40. The 7,000-square-foot project is worth $470,000.

DWC Construction Co. Inc. has pulled a permit to build the second phase of an office project for Nashville Medical Group near Baptist Hospital. The 4,100-square-foot work is valued at $299,000.

Utica Contracting Inc. has pulled two permits to rehab the diesel lab and some restrooms on the Nashville Auto Diesel College campus on Gallatin Pike. Combined, the projects are worth $239,000.

Two office rehab projects: Curb Records is renovating part of the ground floor of 34 Music Square E. McPherson & Shaw Inc. is handling the $220,000 project. And law firm Lassiter Tidwell Davis Keller & Hogan is sprucing up its One Nashville Place offices. Solomon Builders Inc. is handling the $115,000 project.

G.M. Northrup Corp. Inc. is rehabbing space at Opry Mills for Pure Beauty Boutique & Salon. The permit is worth $177,000.
