Former Caremark exec joins Burr

Ex-GC has been consulting with company for 15 months

Ed Hardin, a former general counsel and director of Caremark Rx, has joined the commercial litigation group of regional law firm Burr & Forman.

Hardin, who retired from Caremark in March 2007 but has been consulting with the company since then, will work from Burr’s Birmingham office. He will focus on complex cases and insurance work.

“Ed is a skilled, accomplished lawyer who will add great depth to our litigation practice,” said W. Lee Thuston, Burr’s managing partner. “His extensive legal and business experience and the contacts he has developed over the last forty years will be an asset to our firm.”

Hardin received his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he served as articles editor for the Alabama Law Review. He earned his undergraduate degree from Birmingham Southern College.

Burr opened its local office two years ago recently added a former Kentucky insurance commissioner.
